Building and Evolving a Donor Stewardship Program
Download the handout
Using a case study examining the process of building and evolving a donor stewardship program in a large, decentralized university setting, this session will provide an opportunity for participants to juxtapose their own situations, challenges, and successes. The presenter will outline the path by which a basic program of acknowledgements and scholarship reporting grew into a comprehensive portfolio of 20+ programs that generated nearly 35,000 donor "touches" in 2008-09; participants will then engage in a process of thinking through their own acknowledgement, recognition, and reporting programs, and identifying strategic directions for the programs they manage.
